Grumpy cow.

Don't worry, I'm not calling you names (though if there is a grumpy cow around here, I know who she is *cough* IT'S ME *cough*)! Grumpy Cow is a line of products by Cowshed, which is a lovely cruelty-free brand of bodycare which, on top of everything else, does not contain parabens, sulphates or artificial coloring.

I received the Uplifting Body Lotion* for review, and I am smitten with it. First of all, this stuff smells divine. It has essential oils of red mandarin, petitgrain and grapefruit. After a quick Google session, I can confirm that petitgrain is a citrus like the rest of the ingredients, namely bitter orange oil. The scent is truly very citrus-y and so very fresh as well, which really does make it uplifting. I've been using this on an everyday basis and I find it really moisturizing and calming - my skin has been really dry because of exposure to the sun and I've been slathering this on like crazy to prevent the wretched peeling. I must say it's been working like a treat and I've really been enjoying using it, especially the scent. It comes in a handy packaging from which you just squeeze out the product. I also really like the design of the bottle and am now very curious to try more products by this brand!

International readers, this is available on FeelUnique for 18€ (currently on sale). For my lovely Slovenian readers (not that the international ones aren't lovely, you ARE, so no fighting!), I just saw the loveliest display of Cowshed in Müller, so head there if you'd like to buy them.

  1. I adore citrus smells! I received a beautiful perfume sample in my Birchbox that smelled like fresh citrus, faintly floral, cut grass, etc. Normally I go for florals but this blew my socks off! It's perfect for spring/summer, maybe early fall. I need to find an Fall & Winter scent
